Please welcome the new member of the team AKIRA. Akira is sailing with us from Townsville to Cairns. We have been snorkelling 24/7 and saw four sharks, a sting ray and I saw two puffer fish. A few days ago I saw a stone fish and we caught a thrasher (shark) in our crab net. Last night we saw a dugong !!!! Now we are on Magnetic island and are going to sail to the Palm islands.
We went to Bait Reef for one day and one night. It was really fun. we saw a lot of fish and a SHARK!!!! We also saw a giant Trevally and some nemos. We had stinger suits on because we were swimming with IRA KANJI ( a jellyfish that can kill you if it touches your skin). On the way back to the Whitsunday Islands we hit a big storm and in the morning we found a squid in our dingy( petit bateau). Now we are sailing to Hook Island.

My family are sailing around the top end and western Australia for five months. This is our boat Illawarra that we will be sailing in. The boat is 13 metres in length. We will be sailing from Airlie Beach to somewhere in western Australia.
I’m doing this blog so you can all see what I’m doing on my sailing trip. We are getting ready for the trip and making boxes of dehydrated food. We have a vacuum packer ( like my name( frown)) that is very fun. Sebastian
